1919- Isadore Blumkin opens a pawn shop in Omaha, NE.
1937- Rose Blumkin (Mrs. B) opens Nebraska Furniture Mart in the basement of Isadore’s Pawn Shop.
1946- Charlie Schneider (Son In-Law of Rose and Isadore) opens Charles Schneider Furniture to make furniture for Nebraska
Furniture Mart.
1954- Flexible Polyurethane foams start being manufactured on a commercial scale.
1958- Charlie Schneider opens Future Foam Inc.
1983- Mrs. B sells Nebraska Furniture Mart to Berkshire Hathaway in a handshake agreement with Warren Buffet.
1992- Bruce Schneider (Son of Charlie) becomes President of Future Foam and expands the business to over 20 factories.
2004- Future Foam Asia opens and becomes the only US-owned foam factory with foaming operations both in China and the USA.
2007- Future Foam enters the advanced engineered foam business.
2009- Future Foam expands carpet cushion to 5 manufacturing locations.
2015- Future Foam expands into Europe with the purchase of Szaidel,a German manufacturing company.
2016- Future Foam signs a technology transfer agreement with New Wind in ltaly to increase specialty foam offerings.
2017- Future Foam starts production at a state of the art foam pouring facility in Mansfield,MA for a total of 28 locations worldwide.
2020- Future Foam acquires 4 additional factories in the US taking their total worldwide factory count to 32.
